High Risk Environment Awareness Training

Course Overview

This course is designed to assist media teams, free-lance  journalists, NGO’s and corporate clients to prepare for and manage risk while working in complex, dynamic and potentially hostile and austere situations and environments. This program is delivered through a mixture of lectures, discussion groups, workshops, practical evolutions and exercises.  The program focuses on preparation and planning, threat identification, risk mitigation strategies, self-sufficiency, situational awareness and trauma management.  


Course duration: 2 days


The course will include, but not limited to the following.

  • Casualty care under fire
  • First-Aid
  • Self help
  • Extraction techniques
  • Psychological First-Aid
  • Respirators (selection, use, donning/doffing)
